First the rhyme:

Row, row, row your boat

Gently down the stream

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily

Life is but a dream.

This simple kids’ nursery rhyme is said to say a lot more than just “row a boat gently and merrily downstream”.

So, let’s break it down and see how it references the Law of Attraction.

Row, row, row your boat means row your boat not someone else’s boat. The boat you are rowing is referring to your life. So take care of your life not someone else’s. I would like to think that when you are focusing your attention on yourself you are less likely to worry about what other people think and tend to internalize less about how you look or feel to someone else. This is about your life not how you look to others.

Row your boat gently down the stream means as you go through life go gently, not too fast, or not too slow.

Down the stream is referred to as everything you want in life is downstream never upstream. As Abraham says keep your thoughts downstream. Those positive thoughts, your inner being, and your Source are all downstream.

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily means go along in life focusing on happiness, joy, and finding peace with contrast.

Life is but a dream means that it goes by fast like a dream then you wake when you have transitioned to the other side. Maybe that is how the Source and others that have transitioned see us and life on earth now. I do know just from experience that those dreams can have significant influence like a sign given to you that you should pay attention too. Isn’t it true though, how fast the kids grow up, then we are older wondering in amazement how fast time went?

Row your boat of life downstream gently and do it merrily as you go along with life.
